Please describe your project in more detail.

Founded in 2015, Her Footprints is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower girls to be bold, strong, and fit on the trails of nature and beyond. We see the importance in improving accessibility to the outdoors for girls, and we strive to make that more and more possible every day.

Her Footprints organizes free monthly hike around the Bay Area during the school year and a three-day overnight retreat during the summer.  All expenses are paid for including transportation, lodging (retreat), snacks, and water. We enable young women to leave their footprints along the path of self-discovery while learning about the beauty of nature around them.

We've kicked off our hiking program with a group of 6th grade girls at Frick Impact Academy, a middle school in Oakland Unified School District. The positive feedback we've received from the girls, their parents, and school administrators reaffirms our commitment to advancing the mission of Her Footprints.

100% of you donations will go towards programming costs, namely transportation, food, lodging (retreat) and outdoor activity related expenses. Your donation is also tax deductible. Please visit www.herfootprints.com for more information.
